Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Northfield Nighthawks (Denver, CO) and the host Ponderosa Mustangs (Parker, CO), saw Northfield's basketball squad overcome Ponderosa by a tally of 36-19.

With the victory, Northfield improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Nighthawks travel to Adams City (Commerce City, CO) to play the Eagles in a challenge on Thursday, January 13. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Sand Creek Scorpions (Colorado Springs, CO) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 8. Ponderosa will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
