The Bloom Blazing Trojan basketball team (Chicago Heights, IL), was nudged 50-46 in Sunday's non-league battle with the host Brother Rice Crusaders (Chicago, IL)

The Crusaders now possess a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Romeoville for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 13. Brother Rice will battle a Spartans team coming off a 75-45 league win over Plainfield Central (Plainfield, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 6-2.

The Blazing Trojan (5-2) will now prepare for their battle against Thornwood (South Holland, IL). The Thunderbirds come into the Southland battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, Thornwood edged Crete-Monee (Crete, IL), 74-57, in a league battle.
