East Carter Redbirds (Ellsinore, MO) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Clarkton Reindeer (Clarkton, MO), 60-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, East Carter upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Redbirds travel to Bunker (Bunker, MO) to play the Eagles in a Black River bout on Friday, December 29. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 5-2.

Next up, the Reindeer play the North Pemiscot Mustangs (Wardell, MO) in a Tri-County - Southeast bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Clarkton will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 0-6 record after their 106-11 non-league loss to Portageville (Portageville, MO).
