Tunica Academy Blue Devils (Tunica, MS) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Delta Streets Academy Lions (Greenwood, MS), 60-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Tunica Academy upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Blue Devils host Lake Cormorant (Lake Cormorant, MS) to clash with the in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 28. The go into the bout with a record of 6-2.

Next up, the Lions clash with the St. Joseph Fighting Irish (Greenville, MS) in a MAIS 4A District 2 bout, on Friday, December 15. Delta Streets Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Fighting Irish go into the bout with a 0-3 record after their 72-34 non-league loss to Riverside (Avon, MS).
