Ellsworth Eagles (Ellsworth, ME) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Foxcroft Academy Ponies (Dover-Foxcroft, ME), 71-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Ellsworth upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Eagles host Orono (Orono, ME) to play the Riots in a B North bout on Thursday, December 14. The Riots go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Orono won 71-52 in their recent league bout against Washington Academy (East Machias, ME)

Next up, the Ponies play the Presque Isle Wildcats (Presque Isle, ME) in a B North bout, on Saturday, December 16. Foxcroft Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 58-28 league loss to Old Town (Old Town, ME).
