In Monday's non-league outing, the Hicks Pirates (Leesville, LA) basketball squad beat the host Fairview Panthers (Grant, LA), by a count of 73-63.
The Pirates (7-4) will now prepare for their outing against Florien (Florien, LA). The Blackcats go into the non-league outing with a 1-3 record. In their last outing, Florien was topped by Hornbeck (Hornbeck, LA), 63-42, in a non-league outing.
The Panthers now hold a 7-11 record. They play next when they travel to Oberlin for a non-league outing on Thursday, December 14. Fairview will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 101-34 non-league loss to Westminster Academy (Opelousas, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 0-12.
