Southwood Cowboys (Shreveport, LA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Green Oaks Giants (Shreveport, LA), 79-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Southwood upgrades its record to 10-2 on the season. The Cowboys travel to Natchitoches Central (Natchitoches, LA) to clash with the Chiefs in a 5A District 1 bout on Thursday, December 14. The Chiefs go into the bout with a record of 9-1. Natchitoches Central won 67-64 in their recent non-league bout against Winnfield (Winnfield, LA)

Next up, the Giants clash with the Ringgold Redskins (Ringgold, LA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 13. Green Oaks will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record. The Redskins go into the bout with a 9-3 record after their 60-49 non-league win over Gibsland-Coleman (Gibsland, LA).
