The Riverside Panthers basketball team (Ellwood City, PA), was nudged 56-49 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Hopewell Vikings (Aliquippa, PA)

The Vikings now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Blackhawk for a WPIAL 4A 2 battle on Friday, December 15. Hopewell will battle a Cougars team coming off a 68-64 non-league loss to Union Area (New Castle, PA). The Cougars record now stands at 2-3.
