With the victory, Pine River-Backus upgrades its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Cass Lake-Bena (Cass Lake, MN) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 0-4. Cass Lake-Bena lost 88-39 in their recent non-league bout against Dawson-Boyd (Dawson, MN)

Next up, the Thunder play the Browerville Tigers (Browerville, MN) in a A Section 5 bout, on Thursday, December 14. Long Prairie-Grey Eagle will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 4-1 record after their 61-43 league win over Walker-Hackensack-Akeley (Walker, MN).
