Shoemaker Wolves (Killeen, TX) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mexia Black Cats (Mexia, TX), 81-69 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Shoemaker upgrades its record to 11-5 on the season. The Wolves travel to Chaparral (Killeen, TX) to play the Bobcats in a 5A Region III District 22 bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 11-6. Chaparral won 57-38 in their recent non-league bout against Gateway College Preparatory (Georgetown, TX)

Next up, the Black Cats play the Westwood Panthers (Palestine, TX) in a 3A Region III District 20 bout, on Friday, December 15. Mexia will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 66-62 non-league loss to Crockett (Crockett, TX).
