Aitkin Gobblers (Aitkin, MN) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] Huskies (Isle, MN), 46-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Aitkin upgrades its record to 1-4 on the season. The Gobblers travel to Ogilvie (Ogilvie, MN) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 4-1. Ogilvie won 70-66 in their recent non-league bout against St. Francis (St. Francis, MN)

Next up, the Huskies play the Verndale Pirates (Verndale, MN) in a A Section 5 bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 4-1 record after their 72-63 league win over Sebeka (Sebeka, MN).
