South Dakota High School Basketball - Northwestern Area edges Britton-Hecla

The Northwestern Area Wildcats (Mellette, SD) basketball nipped the host Britton-Hecla Braves (Britton, SD), 54-47 in Monday's league test.

The Wildcats (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Wilmot (Wilmot, SD). The Wolves go into the B Region 1 test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Wilmot got by Waverly/South Shore (Waverly, SD), 45-15, in a league test.

The Braves now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Webster for a non-league test on Friday, December 15. Britton-Hecla will meet a Bearcats team coming off a 61-36 non-league loss to Warner (Warner, SD). The Bearcats record now stands at 0-2.
