The East Newton Patriots basketball team (Granby, MO), was toppled 56-46 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Pierce City Eagles (Pierce City, MO)
The Eagles now possess a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host College Heights Christian for a non-league battle on Monday, December 18.
The Patriots (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, MO). The Mountaineers come into the Big 8 battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Mt. Vernon was toppled by Forsyth (Forsyth, MO), 66-43, in a non-league battle.
