Freedom Area Bulldogs (Freedom, PA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Quaker Valley Quakers (Leetsdale, PA), 56-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Freedom Area upgrades its record to 1-2 on the season. The Bulldogs host South Side (Hookstown, PA) to play the Rams in a WPIAL 2A 1 bout on Thursday, December 14. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 2-0. South Side won 57-18 in their recent non-league bout against Bentworth (Bentleyville, PA)

Next up, the Quakers play the Shady Side Academy Bulldogs (Pittsburgh, PA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 14. Quaker Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 3-0 record after their 62-38 non-league win over Freeport (Freeport, PA).
