The Mason County Royals basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting Pendleton County Wildcats to 51 in the Royals non-league triumph on Monday.

The Royals now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Portsmouth for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 16. Mason County will meet a Trojans team coming off a 65-25 league win over Chesapeake (Chesapeake, OH). The Trojans record now stands at 5-1.

The Wildcats (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Augusta (Augusta, KY). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Augusta was defeated by Bishop Brossart (Alexandria, KY), 56-55, in a non-league contest.
