North Carolina High School Basketball - Perquimans routed by Northeastern

Northeastern Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Perquimans Pirates (Hertford, NC), 90-49 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Northeastern upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Eagles travel to Hertford County (Ahoskie, NC) to face the Bears in a 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal match on Tuesday, January 7. The Bears enter the match with a record of 0-3.

The Pirates now sport a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Camden County for a non-league match on Friday, December 13. Perquimans will face a Bruins squad coming off a 59-44 non-league win over Northside - Pinetown (Pinetown, NC). The Bruins record now stands at 4-1.
