Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Rolesville Rams (Rolesville, NC), 47-46 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Clayton advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Comets host Cardinal Gibbons (Raleigh, NC) to face the Crusaders in a non-league match on Friday, December 13. The Crusaders enter the match with a record of 4-0. Cardinal Gibbons won 59-25 in their recent non-league match against Southeast Raleigh (Raleigh, NC)

The Rams now own a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wake Prep Academy for a non-league match on Thursday, December 12.
