The University School of Jackson Bruins (Jackson, TN) basketball edged the visiting Carroll Academy Jaguars (Huntingdon, TN), 27-26 in Wednesday's league bout.

The Bruins now possess a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Huntingdon for a non-league bout on Friday, December 13. University School of Jackson will play a Mustangs team coming off a 55-36 non-league loss to South Gibson (Medina, TN). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Carroll Academy falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Jaguars host Tipton-Rosemark Academy (Millington, TN) to play the Rebels in a Division II-A West District 5 bout on Thursday, December 12. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 2-3. Tipton-Rosemark Academy won 46-15 in their recent non-league bout against City University School of Liberal Arts (Memphis, TN)
