The Costa Mesa Mustangs basketball team scored 29 points and limited the host Mission Viejo Diablos to 22 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Mustangs now have a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Estancia for a non-league game on Thursday, December 12.

With the loss, Mission Viejo drops to 0-1 on the year. The Diablos travel to University (Irvine, CA) to face the Trojans in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 17. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 2-8. University lost 28-26 in their recent non-league match against Woodbridge (Irvine, CA)
