The Amity Regional Spartans (Woodbridge, CT) ice hockey trounced the visiting Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT), 5-0 in Wednesday's non-league outing.

The Spartans now own a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Notre Dame for a non-league outing on Friday, December 13. Amity Regional will encounter a Green Knights team coming off a 8-0 non-league win over St. Joseph (Trumbull, CT). The Green Knights record now stands at 1-0.
