    In Thursday's non-league test, the Cathedral Catholic Dons (San Diego, CA) basketball team edged the visiting Loyola Cubs (Los Angeles, CA), by a tally of 63-62.

    The Dons now possess a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to Jesuit for a non-league bout on Friday, December 12. Cathedral Catholic will play a Marauders team coming off a 76-42 non-league win over St. Mary's (Stockton, CA). The Marauders record now stands at 3-2.

    With the loss, Loyola moves to 4-4 on the season. The Cubs travel to St. Mary's (Stockton, CA) to meet the Rams in a non-league battle on Friday, December 12. The Rams enter the battle with a record of 3-2. St. Mary's won 65-63 in their recent non-league battle against Atwater (Atwater, CA)
