The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Rockbridge County Wildcats (Lexington, VA) and the visiting Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA), observed Rockbridge County's basketball team overcome Eastern Montgomery by a margin of 60-52.

The Wildcats (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Waynesboro (Waynesboro, VA). The Little Giants go into the Shenandoah contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Waynesboro was topped by Monticello (Charlottesville, VA), 61-55, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Mustangs confront the Parry McCluer Fighting Blues (Buena Vista, VA) in a Pioneer contest, on Monday, December 15. Eastern Montgomery will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
