Illinois High School Basketball - Genoa-Kingston can't hold off Sandwich

The Sandwich Indians nipped the visiting Genoa-Kingston Cogs basketball squad by a final score of 53-51 in Thursday's non-league game.
The Indians now have a 2-5 record. They play next when they host Johnsburg for a Kishwaukee River game on Friday, December 12. Sandwich will confront a Skyhawks team coming off a 71-46 league win over Richmond-Burton (Richmond, IL). The Skyhawks record now stands at 2-4.
With the loss, Genoa-Kingston falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Cogs travel to Warren (Warren, IL) to confront the Warriors in a non-league game on Saturday, December 13. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 5-3. Warren lost 96-70 in their recent non-league game against Belmont (Belmont, WI)
