Texas High School Basketball - Hanna holds off Vanguard Academy Beethoven

The Hanna Golden Eagles basketball team scored 67 points and limited the visiting Vanguard Academy Beethoven to 61 in the Golden Eagles non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Golden Eagles now sport a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Weslaco for a non-league test on Friday, December 12. Hanna will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 74-45 non-league win over Mercedes (Mercedes, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 11-7.

The (7-5) will now prepare for their bout against Santa Maria (Santa Maria, TX). The Cougars go into the non-league bout with a 3-3 record. In their last bout, Santa Maria nudged Raymondville (Raymondville, TX), 81-66, in a non-league bout.
