The Hillside Hornets basketball team scored 49 points and limited the host Mount Zion Christian Academy Mighty Warriors to 36 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Hornets now have a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Richmond Senior for a non-league game on Saturday, December 13. Hillside will confront a Raiders team coming off a 83-72 non-league win over Scotland (Laurinburg, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 3-0.

With the loss, Mount Zion Christian Academy falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Mighty warriors host Grace Christian (Sanford, NC) to clash with the Crusaders in a non-league outing on Friday, December 12. The Crusaders enter the outing with a record of 7-3. Grace Christian won 60-49 in their recent non-league outing against Burlington Christian Academy (Burlington, NC)
