In Thursday's non-league contest, the host John Paul II Cardinals basketball team scored a good 77-69 triumph over the The Colony Cougars.
The Cardinals (13-3) will now prepare for their contest against Grand Oaks (Spring, TX). The Grizzlies go into the non-league match with a 10-5 record. In their last match, Grand Oaks notched a victory over Cleveland (Cleveland, TX), 83-23, in a league match.
The Cougars now sport a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Trinity Christian for a non-league outing on Thursday, December 11. The Colony will face a Lions squad coming off a 84-43 non-league win over Frenship Memorial (Lubbock, TX). The Lions record now stands at 11-2.
