Johnson Governors (St. Paul, MN) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting St. Croix Lutheran Crusaders (West St. Paul, MN), 77-52 in a non-league contest.

The Governors (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Mankato East (Mankato, MN). The Cougars go into the non-league contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Mankato East was trounced by Century (Rochester, MN), 68-52, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Crusaders face the New Life Academy Eagles (Woodbury, MN) in a non-league outing, on Friday, December 12. St. Croix Lutheran will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Eagles enter the outing with a 0-2 record after their 60-57 non-league loss to St. Francis (St. Francis, MN).
