The Vega Longhorns basketball team scored 45 points and limited the visiting Muleshoe Mules to 35 in the Longhorns non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Longhorns now have a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Littlefield for a non-league game on Saturday, December 13. Vega will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 77-47 non-league win over Lockney (Lockney, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-4.

With the loss, Muleshoe falls to 3-9 on the campaign. The Mules travel to Farwell (Farwell, TX) to play the Steers in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 11. The Steers go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Farwell won 60-46 in their recent non-league bout against Dimmitt (Dimmitt, TX)
