The Connally Cadets basketball squad (Waco, TX), was outscored 52-35 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Ponder Lions (Ponder, TX)

The Lions (10-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Wimberley (Wimberley, TX). The Texans come into the non-league challenge with a 3-7 record. In their last challenge, Wimberley prevailed over McCallum (Austin, TX), 58-31, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cadets battle the West Trojans (West, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 19. Connally will attempt to advance on its 4-9 season record.
