The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Hathaway Hornets (Jennings, LA) and the host Southside Sharks (Youngsville, LA), observed Hathaway's basketball team overwhelm Southside by a score of 70-42.

The Hornets (7-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Reeves (Reeves, LA). The Raiders come into the non-league challenge with a 9-5 record. In their last challenge, Reeves was trounced by Pitkin (Pitkin, LA), 89-63, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Sharks battle the Central Catholic Eagles (Morgan City, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 16. Southside will attempt to better on its 5-5 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 66-30 non-league loss to South Terrebonne (Bourg, LA).
