The Menaul Panthers (Albuquerque, NM) basketball were winner over the host Bernalillo Spartans (Bernalillo, NM), 61-44 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Panthers now possess a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pojoaque Valley for a non-league test on Friday, December 12. Menaul will encounter a Elks/Elkettes squad coming off a 55-43 non-league win over Gallup (Gallup, NM). The Elks/Elkettes record now stands at 1-1.
The Spartans (0-6) will now prepare for their test against Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM). The Ravens come into the non-league test with a 1-1 record. In their last test, Rio Grande was knocked off by Pojoaque Valley (Pojoaque, NM), 50-35, in a non-league bout.
