In Monday's non-league match, the visiting Churchill Bulldogs basketball team scored a tight 51-48 triumph over the Sherwood Warriors.
In their next game, the Bulldogs meet the Whitman Vikings (Bethesda, MD) in a Montgomery 4A South match, on Monday, January 9. Churchill will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record.
With the defeat, Sherwood moves to 2-1 on the year. The Warriors travel to Magruder (Rockville, MD) to meet the Colonels in a non-league match on Friday, December 16. The Colonels enter the match with a record of 1-0. Magruder won 71-19 in their recent league match against Watkins Mill (Gaithersburg, MD)
