Middleburgh Knights (Middleburgh, NY) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Sharon Springs Central Spartans (Sharon Springs, NY), 45-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Middleburgh upgrades its record to 4-2 on the season. The Knights host Berne-Knox-Westerlo (Berne, NY) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Section 2 Western - Mohawk bout on Wednesday, December 14. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 2-1. Berne-Knox-Westerlo lost 73-55 in their recent league bout against Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons (Schenectady, NY)

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton Raiders (Gilbertsville, NY) in a Section 4 Tri-Valley bout, on Friday, December 16. Sharon Springs Central will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 39-33 non-league loss to Windham-Ashland-Jewett (Windham, NY).
