The Central Knights basketball team scored 73 points and held the host Woonsocket Villa Novans to 37 in the Knights non-league triumph on Monday.

The Knights now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Barrington for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 15. Central will meet a Eagles team coming off a 49-31 non-league loss to Bishop Hendricken (Warwick, RI). The Eagles record now stands at 1-1.

The Villa Novans (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Classical (Providence, RI). The Purples enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Classical was routed by Westerly (Westerly, RI), 53-42, in a non-league contest.
