The Belle Vernon Leopards (Belle Vernon, PA) basketball felled the visiting Charleroi Cougars (Charleroi, PA), 55-44 in Monday's non-league test.
The Leopards (1-2) will now prepare for their bout against West Mifflin (West Mifflin, PA). The Titans go into the WPIAL 4A 3 bout with a 2-3 record. In their last bout, West Mifflin was topped by Peters Township (McMurray, PA), 69-38, in a non-league bout.
Next up, the Cougars clash with the Jefferson-Morgan Rockets (Jefferson, PA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 19. Charleroi will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Rockets go into the bout with a 0-3 record after their 38-20 non-league loss to Bentworth (Bentleyville, PA).
