In Monday's league outing, the St. Thomas More Sabers (Champaign, IL) basketball squad nipped the visiting Champaign Central Maroons (Champaign, IL), by a margin of 65-58.
The Sabers (5-2) will now prepare for their outing against Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL). The Hawks go into the Illini Prairie outing with a 6-4 record. In their last outing, Prairie Central got by Beecher (Beecher, IL), 44-26, in a non-league outing.
The Maroons now own a 6-8 record. They play next when they host Rantoul for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 13. Champaign Central will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 64-16 non-league loss to Lincoln (Lincoln, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 0-4.
