The Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts basketball team (Chillicothe, IL), dropped 38-29 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Olympia Spartans (Stanford, IL)

The Spartans now sport a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pleasant Plains for a Sangamo battle on Thursday, December 15. Olympia will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 54-22 non-league win over Normal University (Normal, IL). The Cardinals record now stands at 7-3.

The Grey Ghosts (5-5) will now prepare for their battle against Metamora (Metamora, IL). The Redbirds come into the non-league battle with a 8-4 record. In their last battle, Metamora prevailed over Canton (Canton, IL), 48-33, in a league battle.
