Oxford Pirates (Oxford, MA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Southbridge Pioneers (Southbridge, MA), 44-20 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Oxford upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Tantasqua Regional (Fiskdale, MA) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 0-0.

In their next game, the Pioneers meet the Bay Path RVT Minutemen (Charlton, MA) in a non-league match, on Friday, December 16. Southbridge will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
