The Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes basketball team scored 44 points and restricted the visiting Elmwood Trojans to 40 in the Tornadoes non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Tornadoes now sport a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Seymour for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 16. Abingdon/Avon will battle a Indians team coming off a 72-41 non-league loss to Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia (Concord, IL). The Indians record now stands at 3-5.

The Trojans (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Havana (Havana, IL). The Ducks come into the non-league contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Havana was nudged by Brown County (Mt. Sterling, IL), 46-40, in a non-league contest.
