Missouri High School Basketball - Green City overwhelms Atlanta

December 12, 2023: Atlanta, MO 63530

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Green City Gophers (Green City, MO) and the host Atlanta Hornets (Atlanta, MO), saw Green City's basketball squad wallop Atlanta by a count of 73-46.

With the victory, Green City upgrades its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Gophers travel to Platte Valley co-op [South Nodaway/Jefferson] (Barnard, MO) to play the in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 16. The come into the challenge with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Hornets play the Brashear Tigers (Brashear, MO) in a Tri-County - Northeast challenge, on Friday, December 15. Atlanta will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 55-48 league win over La Plata (La Plata, MO).
