The International Academy Phoenix (Flint, MI) basketball felled the visiting Bad Axe Hatchets (Bad Axe, MI), 50-33 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Phoenix (2-0) will now prepare for their test against New Standard Academy (Flint, MI). The Spartans go into the Freelance test with a 1-1 record. In their last test, New Standard Academy thwarted Hill-McCloy (Montrose, MI), 82-35, in a non-league test.
The Hatchets now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Cass City for a Greater Thumb - West test on Friday, December 15. Bad Axe will encounter a Red Hawks squad coming off a 69-31 non-league win over Capac (Capac, MI). The Red Hawks record now stands at 5-0.
