The Belle Plaine Tigers basketball team scored 89 points and held the visiting Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Buccaneers to 67 in the Tigers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Tigers now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Watertown-Mayer for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 14. Belle Plaine will battle a Royals team coming off a 57-56 league win over Providence Academy/Rivertree (Plymouth, MN). The Royals record now stands at 2-1.

The Buccaneers (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Bethlehem Academy (Faribault, MN). The Cardinals enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record.
