The Newton North Tigers (Newtonville, MA) basketball nipped the host Braintree Wamps (Braintree, MA), 51-47 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Tigers (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Framingham (Framingham, MA). The Flyers go into the Bay State - Carey test with a 0-2 record. In their last test, Framingham was tipped by Brookline (Brookline, MA), 57-41, in a league test.
The Wamps now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Walpole for a Bay State - Herget test on Friday, December 15.
