Maine High School Basketball - South Portland knocked off by Cheverus

The Cheverus Stags basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting South Portland Red Riots to 49 in the Stags non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Stags now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oxford Hills for a AA North contest on Friday, December 15. Cheverus will battle a Vikings team coming off a 46-39 league loss to Edward Little (Auburn, ME). The Vikings record now stands at 0-1.
The Red Riots (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Scarborough (Scarborough, ME). The Red Storm enter the AA South contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Scarborough was defeated by Windham (Windham, ME), 49-41, in a non-league contest.
