The Daviess County Panthers basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Hancock County Hornets to 28 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Owensboro Catholic for a District 9 contest on Friday, December 15. Daviess County will battle a Aces team coming off a 55-49 league loss to Apollo (Owensboro, KY). The Aces record now stands at 0-1.

The Hornets (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Breckinridge County (Harned, KY). The Fighting Tigers enter the District 11 contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Breckinridge County was routed by Butler County (Morgantown, KY), 82-50, in a non-league contest.
