Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Grapeland Sandies (Grapeland, TX) and the host Douglass Indians (Douglass, TX), saw Grapeland's basketball squad overcome Douglass by a tally of 72-59.
With the victory, Grapeland improves its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Sandies travel to Marlin (Marlin, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 14. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Marlin won 49-42 in their recent non-league challenge against Thorndale (Thorndale, TX)
Next up, the Indians play the LaPoynor Flyers (LaRue, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 15. Douglass will attempt to improve on its 10-5 season record. The Flyers come into the challenge with a 9-5 record after their 63-57 non-league loss to Dayton (Dayton, TX).
