Highland Bulldogs (Highland, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Litchfield Purple Panthers (Litchfield, IL), 64-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Highland upgrades its record to 4-5 on the season. The Bulldogs host Triad (Troy, IL) to clash with the Knights in a Mississippi Valley bout on Friday, December 15. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 6-2. Triad lost 48-47 in their recent non-league bout against Paducah Tilghman (Paducah, KY)

Next up, the Purple Panthers clash with the Pana Panthers (Pana, IL) in a South Central bout, on Friday, December 15. Litchfield will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 34-27 non-league loss to Nokomis (Nokomis, IL).
