In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Northland Pines Eagles (Eagle River, WI) basketball squad edged the visiting Hurley Northstars (Hurley, WI), by a count of 58-51.
The Eagles (3-5) will now prepare for their outing against Lakeland (Minocqua, WI). The Thunderbirds go into the Great Northern outing with a 3-2 record. In their last outing, Lakeland was tipped by Merrill (Merrill, WI), 83-73, in a non-league outing.
The Northstars now hold a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Lac Courte Oreilles for a Northern Lights outing on Thursday, December 14. Hurley will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 62-33 league loss to Drummond (Drummond, WI). The Eagles record now stands at 1-5.
