Magnolia Bulldogs (Magnolia, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lamar Consolidated Mustangs (Rosenberg, TX), 62-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Magnolia upgrades its record to 8-6 on the season. The Bulldogs host A&M Consolidated (College Station, TX) to clash with the Tigers in a 5A Region III District 21 bout on Friday, December 15. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 3-7. A&M Consolidated lost 82-71 in their recent non-league bout against Bryan (Bryan, TX)

Next up, the Mustangs clash with the South Houston Trojans (South Houston, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 15. Lamar Consolidated will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 12-5 record after their 59-46 non-league win over Alief Taylor (Houston, TX).
