Leavitt Hornets (Turner, ME) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lisbon Greyhounds (Lisbon Falls, ME), 51-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Leavitt upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Hornets travel to Erskine Academy (South China, ME) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, December 15. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Erskine Academy lost 70-56 in their recent non-league bout against Gardiner (Gardiner, ME)

Next up, the Greyhounds play the Spruce Mountain Phoenix (Jay, ME) in a B South bout, on Thursday, December 14. Lisbon will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Phoenix go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 54-29 non-league win over Hall-Dale (Farmingdale, ME).
